Mariner’s Compass

Here is my Mariner’s Compass (pattern by Judy Niemeyer, Quiltworx).  I made this during a Quiltworx quilt retreat this summer in Kalispell, Montana.  I LOVE this pattern.  I only managed to complete the inside during the retreat.  I didn’t bring all my fabric down to America when I came–I found I wanted to save room for bringing things HOME (back to Alaska) so only brought what I thought I’d need.

IMG_5559But, once I got home I finished up the outside with the extension package I bought/brought back from Motana.IMG_5615Peggy Nekeferoff quilted it for me on her long arm… That Peggy is such an artist!IMG_5978 IMG_5910 IMG_5911 IMG_5847(here is my FUN backing fabric which I ordered from Quilting By the Bay in Florida)IMG_5981And, here she is, all finished… hanging in the Kodiak Bear Paw Quilter’s Guild show at the beginning of October 2013.IMG_6473I had such a great time in Montana this summer, I am heading to another retreat in February!
