I feel the need to update a few things for 2014:
Catch Me… If You Can by Jacqueline de Jonge. Started in October of 2013 for a 6 week class actually took until the end of January to complete the top and until the end of July to get quilted and bound. It is a raffle quilt I donated to Hospice. Peggy Nekeferoff quilted it on her long arm and it’s BEAUTIFUL.
February: Thistle Pods by Judy Niemeyer. This is my favorite pattern of Judy’s. I pieced all the blocks while at Empty Spools in Asilomar but it took until September until I got the whole top together. I LOVE this pattern!
My postage stamp quilt. Made into 1 1/2″ blocks. My lay on the couch quilt. :)April: Finally done with Isabella’s quilt! These bags were the pattern Janet’s Tote by Tote’s by Sandy. They also used Judy Niemeyer’s Charm Element Pack #1. The Janet pattern is easy and sweet–the perfect size for a baby bag!
This was my first attempt at making red and white quilt for SewCalGal‘s blog contest. I decided to make a second with redder reds and whiter whites. I gave it to a new resident at the Chiniak Bay Elder Care House as a home welcoming gift. This quilt was made by Max and I for his cousin, Dakayla, for her high school graduation. It’s all Asian prints and it was great to do with Max. June: I went to Kalspell to work for Judy Niemeyer for the month. WHAT A GREAT TIME!
While not technically not mine, this Summer Solstice I made for Judy. It took 2 days and it was such a sweet boost–to sew so fast for hours on end!
Vintage Compass, pattern by Judy Niemeyer. I was testing the pattern, hot off the press and Judel, her daughter and all around wonderful woman, helped me pick out the fabrics. It won 2nd prize in it’s category at the Alaska State Fair! Fire Island Hosta, pattern by Judy Niemeyer. This is my entry into SewCalGal‘s blog contest. It also won 2nd prize in it’s category at the Alaska State Fair! September: Bali Wedding Star, pattern by Judy Niemeyer.
