Quilt camp 2013

I was lucky enough to go to a Judy Niemeyer quilt retreat this past week.  I cannot even begin to describe the tips, techniques, and tools I used, learned and fell in love with!  The people were FANTASTIC and the setting AMAZING and Judy was so beyond FANTASTIC AND AMAZING!

All of us on last day of the retreat:

My Mariner’s Compass:

I put the individual blocks up as I sewed.

Choosing the center fabrics was tough!  Judy was kind and generous and helped me find just the right colors (FROM HER STASH!)

FINISHED! (well, I do need to border it!)

It will have a final border but I get to stand at the balcony with it! :)

I worked on Judy’s new pattern, Compass Rose (it’s a table runner):

And stayed an extra day to sew with beautiful new fabric:IMG_5508

I CANNOT WAIT until next summer to come back!
